Princess was our first foster/fail with Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue. As I look back over the past 7 years, Victoria and Bandit were always by her side. They loved her from the moment we brought her home. Princess came from a puppy mill. She was used as a breeder for Pomeranian/Husky mixes. After Princess joined our family, our pack felt complete and we decided to start 3 Husketeers Rescue. Princess enjoyed her life to the fullest. She played when she wanted, but more than anything, she loved to lay on her bed watching DOGTV. Princess lost her battle with cancer in October. She was 12 years old. Over the past 5 years, Princess helped us to rescue 270 dogs. She kept everyone in check and brought balance to the pack. She was our guardian and I know she'll be here in spirit and continue to guide me with every new rescue. Her legacy will live forever! We plan to hold an Annual Rainbow Bridge Walk in remembrance of our little "Meatball" and all the other beloved pets who have passed over. Rest in Peace our sweet P.
You came to 3 Husketeers as a stray from the streets of Philadelphia, PA. I took one look at the Facebook post and immediately knew, without any hesitation, you had to become a #PackMemberForLife You had the biggest personality with the saddest eyes but showed endless amounts of love to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting you. I gave you the name "Trouble" with so much love behind it! I wish I could share all the details on how a "professional" trainer failed you! But, until the legal process is over..all I can say is that I PROMISE this will NEVER happen again to any 3 Husketeers #PackMembersForLife You were supposed to be safe! I promise to do something BIG in your honor! I'm not sure what God wants me to do, but as soon as I see the vision..I will share that with the world Until I see you again, I will love you high sky and ocean deep with the same uncontrollable love you showed me #RIPTrouble
To the 8K + who have been following the updates on Aspen and spreading love for her through your sharing, comments, and messages, we are terribly saddened to have to share heartbreaking news. After a vet visit today, to get Aspen ready for a new home, her blood work showed she’s extremely diabetic and has Cushing’s disease. Either diagnosis alone, possibly could have been manageable but together, the diabetic meds twice a day she would have needed would have exacerbated the Cushing’s disease symptoms causing her to live a very poor life. Per the recommendation of the rescue's doctor, we’ve decided to help her transition before too much pain sets in. It's an extremely difficult decision, to not pursue a new home but she’s already showing signs of discomfort and she’s with the only people who know her best, besides her recently deceased human mom. She will be surrounded by a lot of love in the comfort of her familiar home today at 1pm. Please send prayers to sweet Aspen for an easy and beautiful passing to the other side. Aspen and her owner will be united once again. We love you sweet girl
As I focus on recovery and am restricted to rest and cardio rehabilitation for the rest of the year, our rescue faces a critical period. This time is usually spent at events raising funds for the upcoming year.
I am reaching out to ask for your support to help us continue our mission into 2025. Your donations will ensure that we can keep providing the necessary care and finding loving homes for these dogs. Any contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant difference.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and for your continued support.
